Abstract

This paper presents a study on the current situation of normalization of ethanol and the search for a global standardization. Showing the differences between the producer countries on the specifications of this product as well as their attempts to agreements. With international meetings such as occurred in Brussels in Belgium, where he held a conference organised by the European commission, with active participation of representatives of the governments of the United States, Brazil and the European Union and also the International Forum on Biofuels, government initiative between Brazil, China, the European Commission, India, South Africa, and the United States in order to promote the sustainable use and production of biofuels around the globe. Thus international standardization of bioethanol becomes paramount factor for the liberalisation of markets and growth package of demand and supply d this biofuel. So it is very important for the understanding of these countries there is a real international marketing of ethanol.
