Abstract

Native of the region of Africa, the snow of the mountain is a very sensible plant to the fotoperiódicas variations. With objective to evaluate the influence of fotoperíodo in the induction of the bloom, the present work was lead; in the period of 31/03/2005 to the 28/07/2005, in the campus of the FAFRAM, city of Ituverava-SP. The observed plants were planted in the garden of the campus to the different distances of the light source. For being plants of short days, the same ones only blossom if the active text of fitocromo will be low at the beginning of the day. It can be observed with this work that the plants located to a distance of 10m of the luminous source, that has access the night all, had not been induced in the bloom, remaining enfolhadas and green. The ones that they were located to a distance of 60m had differentiated leves for white brácteas and had blossomed. It can be concluded with this work that the light source, broke the effect of the dark one, provoking an alteration in the concentration of fitocromo active, inhibiting the fotoperiódica induction in the located plants 10m of distance of the same one.
