Abstract

The swine performance was evaluated, males and females, in the phases of day-care center, growth and termination, fed with different diets: dry ration and humid ration, to will. 60 swines, being 30 castrated male Landrace female and 30 had been used Landrace. The weight weans it (PD), the weight to abates it (PA), the profit of daily average weight (GPD), the alimentary conversion (CA), the thickness of lard (ET) and the income of carcass (RC), had been evaluated in the period, observing itself significant differences for characteristic the profit of daily weight (P <5,83) e weight weans it (P <19,02) between the two treatments. How much to the characteristics alimentary conversion, thickness of lard and income of carcass, it did not have significant differences between the two treatments. The water addition in the ratio of 2:1 (ration:water) in the swine feeding took to one better performance, considering the evaluated race, having a good adaptability and a good balance of fat in the carcass.
