Abstract

This study deals to analyze the rainfall of Ituverava region. The precipitation distribution and characterization of dry and rainy station was made using a group of 14 year's data (1991 to 2004) of daily measures. The studied data were registered with a rain gauge located at the Facuhy Dr. Francisco Maeda, in Ituverava, São Paulo State, Brazil. The results obtained sho\ved that the region is characterized by two well-defined climatic seasons: one, rainy, with an excess of precipitation, and the other one, dry, with an almost complete lack of rain and marked b> a water déficit. The water balance shower an excess from november to march and a water déficit from may to September and the irrigations practices can be necessary. The climate type. based in Kõppen Climate Classification System is a tropical wet and dry or savanna (Aw) hás an extended dry season during winter.
