Abstract

Seen the lack information on economic aspects of the orange trees production and the importance of this for the national production of citric fruits, the present work has as objective to evaluate the cost of production of orange trees in protected environment, being a specific case of a producer of the Monte Azul Paulista city - SP. The structure for the formation cost was based in that it comes being adopted for the IEA. In this structure of cost, the effective operational cost involves: man power, schemes, consumed fuels, lubricant, materials (seeds and/or orange trees, seasonings, defensive, etc), that is, for the addition of the direct expenditures. The total operational cost includes the effective operational cost more the indirect expenditures as: depreciation of the durable goods and social changes. Analyzing the results of the work, it can be concluded that the production of orange trees in the Monte Azul Paulista city reveals an income-producing activity, having, therefore, a satisfactory cost of production and a relation bigger benefit that the relation cost.
